Plas Tan Y Bwlch is situated one mile west of Maentwrog, just off the A487 road to Porthmadog.
The main drive starts opposite to the Oakeley Arms Hotel.


Some options : Travelling by Coach:

If travelling from South Wales the Traws-Cambria 701 stops at the Oakeley Arms. 

National Express operate two services to Porthmadog. Bus number 390 from Manchester and Liverpool, and number 545 from Birmingham and London.Bus services run from Porthmadog to Oakeley Arms Hotel near Maentwrog.

Some options : Travelling by Train:

The main access to Plas Tan Y Bwlch by train would be to travel by train to Llandudno junction and then take the Conwy Valley line to Blaenau Ffestiniog. Take the Bus service from Blaenau Ffestiniog to the Oakeley Arms Hotel, from where it is  about a 10 minute walk up the east drive to Plas Tan Y Bwlch.

Travel by train from Shrewsbury Station on the Cambrian Line to the village of Minffordd and then from the village of Penrhyndeudraeth, nearby, take the bus to the Oakeley Arms Hotel,near Maentwrog, which is only a 4 mile bus ride.
